Non-discrimination Policy
Florida Conference Seventh-day Adventist schools admit students of any race, color, ethnicity, national origin, gender, and sexual orientation. Our schools do not discriminate on the basis of any of the aforementioned categories in decisions for admission, discipline, or application of education policies. We promote a sharp focus on learning and caring while requiring all students to adhere to behavioral expectations set out in a strict code of conduct supported by the Biblical beliefs of the Seventh-day Adventist Church.
Frequently asked questions
Does my family need to be Adventist to enroll at PCAS?
No. PCAS is a Christian school that welcomes Adventist, Baptist, nondenominational, Catholic, and exploring families alike. No church membership is required — families are asked to support the school’s mission and campus practices. Our admissions policy is nondiscriminatory.
How much is tuition at Port Charlotte Adventist School?
Annual tuition for 2026–27 is $9,500 per student for grades K–10, plus a $110 application fee, $325 registration fee, $50 testing fee, and a $250 technology fee paid by parents. The school’s tuition sheet marks tuition, application, registration, and testing as covered for approved Florida scholarship families.
Does PCAS accept Step Up For Students and Florida scholarships?
Yes — PCAS participates in Florida’s school-choice scholarships (FTC and FES-EO, administered by Step Up For Students), which are open to every K–12 student regardless of household income. Families apply directly at stepupforstudents.org .
What grades does PCAS serve?
PreK through 10th grade at 2100 Loveland Blvd, Port Charlotte, FL 33980. Grades 9–10 are taught on-site and enriched with online honors, Advanced Placement, and dual-credit courses. After 10th grade, students transition to public high school, Family Christian Academy, dual-enrollment programs, or another Christian high school.
How small are the classes?
About 15 students per class, with roughly 100 students in the entire school — one of the smallest student bodies in Port Charlotte. Every student is known by name, and parents can reach teachers directly.
What are the school hours and aftercare?
School runs 8:00 a.m.–3:00 p.m. Monday through Thursday and 8:00 a.m.–2:00 p.m. on Friday. Aftercare is available to 5:30 p.m. at $6/hour: 3:15–5:30 M–Th, 2:15–5:30 Friday, and 12:15–5:30 on early-dismissal days.
What is the dress code?
A hunter-green or royal-blue PCAS polo with navy or khaki/tan dress pants, Bermuda shorts, skorts, skirts, or jumpers — no denim or leggings. Uniforms are ordered through Buffalo Graphix, and cold-weather sweaters carry the PCAS logo.
